Overview

We are looking for a FP&A Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis Team!

Responsibilities

  • Provide broad analytical support across the FP&A team, which may include efforts related to Monthly Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting, Mergers & Acquisition Integration, Program Mgmt, Strategic Planning, Pricing, and Business Intelligence & Analytics
  • Act as a liaison across several business functions including finance, accounting, sales, operations, IT, HR, and Investor Relations providing support with ad‐hoc analysis, forecasts, data analysis, and working through impromptu projects and requests from senior leadership
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile inconsistencies, and “summarize up” from detailed data/information to a higher level of insight
  • Implement processes to streamline, improve, and automate recurring reporting deliverables
  • Drive through challenges in order to effectively deliver on commitments
  • Provide support to challenge key assumptions and preliminary conclusions based on quantitative analysis
  • Drive ongoing efforts focused on streamlining and improving recurring reports, including adding more insights related to trends, exceptions, and dashboards / visualizations
  • Manage the development and ongoing preparation of assorted decks (senior leadership presentations, board material, forecast alignment meetings, operational planning meetings, sales & ops planning, etc.)

Qualified applicants should possess the following characteristics:

  • Solid analytical skills including demonstrated aptitude for solving complex challenges using MS Excel
  • Specifically, candidates should possess a strong comfort level with advanced excel functions combined with an awareness of the ‘art of the possible’ in terms of realizing the potential of excel (e.g. constructing models, efficiently compiling data, doing analysis, building well-designed charts, incorporating analytics into presentations, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills; converting conclusions derived through analytics into supporting narratives via PowerPoint
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of associates ranging from C‐level leadership to entry‐level associate across the entire enterprise
  • Proven ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and manage and prioritize work accordingly
  • Proficient with the entire suite of Microsoft Office products; namely Excel and PowerPoint. (Familiarization with ThinkCell software is an added plus, but not required).
  • Demonstrated track record of increased responsibility and influence
  • Possesses genuine ‘intellectual curiosity’ (seeks to understand) and has a strong interest in continuous learning & development
  • Demonstrated experience converting analysis into narratives through the creation of compelling, crisp, and well-designed presentations is a strong plus
  • Ambitious, motivated, and intellectually sharp
  • Some familiarization with pricing (e.g. design, strategy, and change mgmt.) is preferred, but not required
  • College degree required (Typical candidates have an educational background focused on business, finance, accounting, economics or other analytical disciplines, but exceptions will be made for the right candidate, skillset, and level of experience)
  • 3 to 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience is likely required
  • MBA is preferred, but is not required
